Ashley Graham was born in Lincoln, Nebraska. She was raised with her two sisters who were younger, and was regularly bullied at school because of her large legs. Shortly after completing elementary school, Graham was diagnosed with Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (A.D.H.D. ), but managed to conquer this, as well as others personal hurdles during her youth. Graham's talent was discovered at 12 by an agent as she was going shopping in Nebraska. Before graduating in 2005 from Lincoln Southwest High School (now Lincoln Southwest High School), she had appeared on various billboards and magazines. She had a unique physical form that made obtaining jobs difficult in the beginning. Graham had several offers for catalog models, however it was said that she wouldn't be able advance past simple projects. Fortunately, she was able to disprove the session casters, and her career progressed rapidly. In 2007 she was interviewed by Sally Singer of "Vogue" magazine. It was one of her very first major break-throughs. In 2009, she was featured in the "Glamour Magazine" piece "These Bodies are Beautiful at Any Size". In 2009, she was back in the news, Graham starred in a controversial Lane Bryant ad that was ultimately banned in numerous countries. The commercial was viewed by more than 800,000 views by the time it was taken off YouTube. The debate grew until Graham was a guest on Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show." Graham became famous quickly and has become one of today's best-known plus-size model. Grande began acting and singing as a child. The role she won was 13 in the musical Broadway in 2008, and started appearing in smaller roles in television series. Her biggest break occurred in the year 2010 when she got a lead role in the Nickelodeon TV series Victorious. She appeared as Cat Valentine, a teenager attending a performing arts school. She starred in Sam & Cat, a spin-off series that aired from 2013 to 2014.
