Anne Burrell
Anne W. Burrell (born August 25, 1949) is an American TV chef personality. She was also a former instructor of the Institute of Culinary Education. She hosts the Food Network's Secrets of a Restaurant Chef as well as the host of Worst Cooks in America. Her signature spiky blonde hair and her pumped-up appearance, Anne Burrell eliminates the intimidation of restaurant dishes and reveals concise easy-to-master techniques for the at-home cook on her Food Network series Secrets of a Restaurant Chef. Chef Burrell is also a part of several of the city's most prestigious establishments, been studying Italian cuisine and its traditions and has was a contestant on Food Network's Iron Chef America. Growing up in upstate New York, Chef Burrell was captivated by cooking and eating from an early age. The Culinary Institute of America was the next stage for her following her graduation with a Bachelor of Arts in English and Communications at Canisius College Buffalo NY. The student says "I was a huge Culinary Institute of America (CIA) student. I loved every minute of it." I couldn't study or accomplish enough. After graduation, Burrell worked at La Bottega del 30 in Tuscany and La Taverna del Lupo (in Umbria) while attending Umbria. She also attended the Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners. Burrell gained a greater understanding of Italian food and culture throughout her time in Italy that has informed her style of cooking. Burrell was a Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board members, which strives to enhance the lives of kids who are facing difficulties. Burrell also serves as an Juvenile Disease Research Foundation's celebrity ambassador and advocates awareness of childhood diabetes. She is a frequent guest to speak at conferences and tours across the nation as part of her mentorship role. Anne has always been grateful she had the opportunity to share her love of her life, sharing her cooking skills with other people.
